Aroma campur baur itu mengudara, menusuk relung hidung. Keringat manusia beradu dengan asap rokok, sampah pesing dan bau tak sedap lainnya. Kala itu saya adalah salah satu penumpang di gerbong ekonomi kereta Gaya Baru Malam Selatan menuju ibukota. Saya sendiri duduk berhimpitan di lantai bordes dekat toilet yang juga dipakai untuk duduk penumpang.
Cipaganti, Cititrans, X-trans, Baraya and name it all that shuttle car. So many of them, but still I prefer to travel by train from Jakarta to Bandung vice versa. I just used shuttle car once. Although I wanted to be faster and practical but there are times when I feel more excited during the trip than arrived at the destination.

Not as popular as other trains such as Argo or even with it’s brother, Jakarta-Bogor commuter trains. Understandably, it’s operation area are not so kind of busy. The train was first inagurated in December 2008 by the Minister of Transportation at that time, Jusman Syafii Djamal, serving Sukabumi-Bogor route in return, which is taken within 2 hours.
